I'm Rocky and I'm 5 years old.  They say I'm a hound mix, but I'm really a fun loving couch potato. I weigh 70 lbs. and love vegan marshmallows! Even a walk in the rain.

2022 has been a year of learning and recovery for me.  I spent 7 months with the super folks at Montgomery County Humane Society. I have some allergies to food, so they found a new special diet that really makes my coat look and feel super nice.

The staff at Pack Place K9 have really helped me understand humans much better. I love to play and fetch! I walk nice and am not scared or reactive to anything!  Well maybe the odd squirrel or 2. I'm ready for the new year and a new home!

I used to pull really hard on leash and didn't pay much attention to my handler.  Pack Place K9 made it rewarding to keep an eye on them. Marshmallows!   I can calmly relax in my crate but I do like snuggling with humans on the couch! I used to be a very picky and slow eater, but now I eat nicely and finish it all.  Did I say I walk really nice on leash, wait at the door (no more dashing out). You can watch some more videos below.

Notes From Pack Place K9

Rocky came to us on our Fenway Scholarship Program.  After receiving great care and getting healthy at Montgomery County Humane Society,  he has spent the last month with us going through our Fresh Start Program.  Rocky has learned the basic skills necessary to be a well balanced pup in a new forever home.

Rocky has worked really hard learning lots of new skills, making tons of new friends and is ready for a new forever home!

During the last year, Rocky has gotten lots of vet care, has had to take lots of meds and can sometimes get reactive when handled for grooming or taking pills. If you use his favorite pill pockets and make it fun, he has no problem.

We feel the best and safest home for Rocky would be with an experienced person who is looking for a perfect sidekick.  No young kids please.  You don't have to be a real active person,  but he loves nice walks in the woods.

Rocky has had issues with his diet and he also takes an allergy pill each day. Rocky is up to date on all his shots.

There is a $350 adoption fee, which also includes 3 private training sessions for Rocky's new family.  Pack Place K9 will work with you to make sure Rocky's transition into your family is perfect!

We are now accepting online inquires.  If you would like to consider Rocky please fill out this MCHS  FORM.  We sometimes get lots of requests, but rest assured, all applications will be evaluated and personally contacted by Montgomery County Humane Society.
